No. 14 Tennessee beat No. 6 Alabama 26-10 at Neyland Stadium on Saturday. Combined with No. 1 Georgia's loss at home to Auburn, it was a wild day in the SEC, and Florida spent it winning at No. 7 Texas.

Final: No. 14 Tennessee 26, No. 6 Alabama 10 (as of 7:17 PM ET, per ESPN).

How it happened

According to ESPN's game data, Tennessee kicker C. Ranvier made four field goals in the first half, from 29, 33, 41 and 34 yards. Alabama's only touchdown was Keelon Russell's 19-yard run in the second quarter, and C. Talty added a 42-yard field goal before halftime. Tennessee led 12-10 at the break, then pulled away on two 5-yard touchdown runs by DeSean Bishop in the third and fourth quarters.

By the numbers (ESPN)

  • DeSean Bishop, Tennessee: 32 carries, 159 yards, 2 TD.
  • George MacIntyre, Tennessee: 21 of 31, 197 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT.
  • Keelon Russell, Alabama: 19 of 29, 147 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT.
  • Turnovers: Alabama 4 (two interceptions, two lost fumbles), Tennessee 2.
  • Total yards: Tennessee 347, Alabama 201. Alabama ran for 54 yards and was 2 of 13 on third down.

What it means for Florida

Florida beat No. 7 Texas 27-24 in Austin (our story) and is 5-2 overall, 3-2 in the SEC. No. 1 Georgia lost to Auburn 27-24 (our story), and the Gators play the Bulldogs on Oct. 31 in Atlanta after their bye week.

After Saturday's games, ESPN's SEC standings show Georgia at 4-1 in conference play, with Tennessee, Kentucky and Ole Miss at 3-1, and Alabama and Florida at 3-2. That's an unofficial snapshot, not a projection. Plenty of conference games are left, and new polls haven't been released yet.

Florida does not play Alabama this season. The Crimson Tide aren't on the Gators' 2026 schedule on floridagators.com. Florida's remaining games are Georgia, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Florida State.
