Florida is back in the national rankings. The Gators re-entered the US LBM Coaches Poll on Sunday at No. 24 with 250 points, a day after their 27-24 win at Texas, Gators Wire reported.

Florida (5-2) was unranked in last week's poll after a home loss to South Carolina. It now sits between No. 23 Northwestern (256 points) and No. 25 Oregon (189).

Texas fell from No. 6 to No. 18 after the loss to Florida. Miami is the new No. 1, followed by Ohio State, BYU, Georgia and Texas Tech. Georgia, Florida's next opponent, dropped from No. 1 to No. 4 after losing to Auburn.

Eight SEC teams are in the top 25: Georgia (4), Ole Miss (7), Tennessee (11), Kentucky (12), Alabama (13), LSU (17), Missouri (21) and Florida (24).

The AP Top 25 is due out later Sunday afternoon.

The Gators are off next week before facing Georgia on Oct. 31 in Atlanta.
