Recruiting watch: Sumrall's staff keeps offering after South Carolina loss
Jon Sumrall's staff extended offers to rising 2028–2030 prospects after recent Swamp visits, while 2028 OT commit Samuel Bailey lines up his first visit since pledging.

Credibly reported — Florida's on-field stumble against South Carolina did not freeze recruiting. On3 reported Oct. 13 that Jon Sumrall and his staff extended offers to four rising prospects from the 2028, 2029 and 2030 classes after visits to The Swamp, with several leaving Gainesville more interested than when they arrived.

Separately, On3 reported that 2028 four-star offensive tackle commit Samuel Bailey is set for his first visit to campus since pledging to Florida, with Tennessee also getting a look. Those are the kinds of midseason checkpoints that decide whether early commits stick through signing day.
With Saturday's trip to No. 7 Texas on deck, every win-or-lose weekend now doubles as a recruiting stage. We'll keep the portal and commit board updated as visits land.
