Florida's back-to-back losses haven't scared off one of its top cornerback targets.

Four-star cornerback Izayah Vickers of Quincy, Fla., told On3/Gators Online's Blake Alderman on Thursday that he remains high on the Gators. "I still believe in what they're preaching to all of us," Vickers said. ## What we know — and what we don't

Florida was considered the leader for Vickers heading into the weekend. The rest of On3's report is behind the On3+ paywall, so GatorStandard does not have the paywalled details, including any other schools in the mix or visit plans.

**There is no commitment.** Vickers has not announced a decision.

## Gators recruiting angle

Holding an in-state, four-star defensive back through a rough stretch on the field is a meaningful signal for the Sumrall staff's recruiting pitch. GatorStandard will update if Vickers' recruitment moves toward a decision.
