Florida running back Jadan Baugh was named to the Associated Press Midseason All-America second team on Thursday, the school and AP announced. Baugh's midseason case
Per Florida, Baugh leads FBS in rushing touchdowns (12), total touchdowns (12) and total points scored (72). He has rushed for 672 yards on 110 carries (6.1 yards per carry, 112.0 per game) plus seven receptions for 46 yards — 718 scrimmage yards through six games.
The Atlanta native is the only FBS running back with 10-plus rushing touchdowns and more than 600 rushing yards. He has topped 135 yards with multiple touchdowns in four games and is the only FBS back with multiple rushing touchdowns in four different contests. Entering the Texas game, Florida says he has 518 consecutive touches and 459 straight rushes without a fumble.

As Florida's first returning 1,000-yard rusher since 1992, Baugh is on pace for 1,456 rush yards and 26 rushing touchdowns over a 13-game season — which would break Tim Tebow's school rushing-touchdown record (23). The Gators travel to Austin to face No. 7 Texas on Saturday at noon ET on ABC.
