No. 2 prospect Kylie Holden commits to Florida softball
Five-star middle infielder Kylie Holden, the No. 2 player in the 2028 class per Softball America, committed to the Gators on Oct. 2.

Confirmed — Florida softball landed one of the biggest commitments of the fall on Oct. 2 when five-star middle infielder Kylie Holden of Ocoee High School (Orlando) announced she is joining the Gators' 2028 class.
Holden is ranked the No. 2 overall player in the 2028 recruiting class by Softball America. She announced the decision at a ceremony before Ocoee's football game and chose Florida over programs that had included Ole Miss, LSU and Texas, according to recruiting coverage. The Gators' class already featured five-star catcher Ryann Harris and five-star two-way player Kate Losh, among others.

For a program that lives in the national title conversation every spring, locking in an in-state franchise shortstop-catcher type this early is a statement. We'll track how the rest of the 2028 class shapes up alongside baseball's incoming group.
