Haugh Unanimous Preseason All-American for CBS Sports
CBS Sports named Florida's Thomas Haugh a unanimous first-team preseason All-American, days after he was tabbed Preseason SEC Player of the Year.

Florida forward Thomas Haugh has been named a unanimous first-team preseason All-American by CBS Sports for the 2026-27 season, according to Gators Wire.
Haugh joins Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears Jr., Vanderbilt guard Tyler Tanner, Kansas freshman Tyran Stokes and Illinois forward David Mirkovic on CBS Sports' first team. Haugh and Fears were the only unanimous first-team picks, per Gators Wire.

Another preseason honor
The CBS Sports nod comes on the heels of Haugh being named Preseason SEC Player of the Year on Oct. 12. The senior arrived in Gainesville as a three-star prospect and returned for his senior year after passing on a likely first-round NBA draft selection, Gators Wire noted.
CBS Sports projected Haugh could again average around 17 points and six rebounds, and pointed to improved 3-point shooting (he shot 32% from deep last season) and more on-ball creation as the keys to pushing him into lottery territory for the 2027 NBA Draft.
Gators angle
The honor underlines the expectations around Florida, which CBS Sports views as the strongest preseason No. 1 in years. Haugh is set to be one of the faces of a Gators team chasing another national title run.
