Florida's defense came up with the biggest play of the day. Myles Graham sacked Arch Manning and forced a fumble, and Kanye Clark recovered it at the Texas 39 with 1:58 left. The Gators lead No. 7 Texas 27-24 in Austin and have the ball.

As of 3:16 PM ET (1:58 - 4th), Florida leads 27-24. Follow every snap on our live play-by-play and the Game Day hub.

The play

According to ESPN's game data, Texas started at its own 46 after a 17-yard punt return, and a first-down run gained 2 yards. On second-and-8 from the Texas 48, Graham got to Manning for a 9-yard sack, and Clark fell on the loose ball at the Texas 39. @GatorsFB posted: "Myles Graham forced it. Kanye Clark recovered it." Scott Carter reported the recovery with 1:58 left at Texas' 39.

The takeaway came less than three minutes after Texas cut it to 27-24 on Manning's 9-yard touchdown pass to Cam Coleman (our story). Florida's previous possession went three-and-out.

What Florida needs

Florida is 39 yards from the end zone, but the clock matters more than points now. ESPN's play-by-play shows no Texas timeouts in the second half, which would leave the Longhorns all three to stop the clock. If that's right, Florida can't simply kneel out 1:58. The Gators likely need one first down to put it away. A field goal would make it a six-point game. Florida has used one second-half timeout, per ESPN's data.
